How to Become a Prayerwalker
By Randy Sprinkle
Preparing to Walk:
1. Recognize that God is calling you to join Him in prayer in the world. Say Yes!
2. Stay prepared to walk with Him by confessing any hidden sin and then by keeping your life pure.
3. Read and meditate on the Word of God daily. His Word will increasingly frame your prayers in perfect accordance with His will.
4. Invite the Holy Spirit to fill you and guide you daily.
5. Be ready to obey Him whether He leads you to another neighborhood or another country.
Stepping Out:
1, Keep your eyes and ears open. Be alert and respond in prayer.
2. Listen, then speak. Feel free to pray silently and aloud. Praise Him and worship as you walk.
3. Go with a partner or two.
4. Move slowly so that God may move fully in and though you.
5. Claim God's Promises. Bless the people around you. Ask of God His greatest desires for them.
6. Anticipate the devil's interference and even harassment. Resist him, firm in your faith, and continue moving forward under the protection of God.
7. Expect God to answer your prayers. Be ready to share a word of greeting and encouragement to those you meet as well as a witness to the hope that is within you.
8. Tell people that you are praying for them and their neighborhood and ask them if there is any need that you could bring to God for them. Pray right then with them.
Final Thought:
Remember: Never do we accomplish more, quicker, than when we are praying.
Acts 29 Prayerwalkers:
As prayerwalkers we recognize that God is calling us to join Him in prayer for our community. We are prayerwalking in all directions of our community asking God to bless our leaders in government, law enforcement, emergency responders, businesses, schools, hospitals, churches and homes. We ask God to bless the poor and needy "with every spiritual blessing in Christ" (Ephesians 1:3). We pray with a united voice "in one accord" (Acts 4:24) for God to bless our land! Prayer cards are placed on doors (or outside mailboxes) as a point of contact with our community.
House Blessing:
Bless this house and all who live in it.
Protect them from harm and sickness.
Meet all their needs according to your goodness.
Pour out your blessing on them and their families.
Let each person who lives here know that you
love them and want them to be a part of the
marvelous work you're doing in this
community, state, and nation.
In Jesus' name. AMEN
