Seeking God on Your Behalf

The Acts 29 Prayer Team believe it is a privilege to pray for people.  We have witnessed how God answers prayers!  Our Prayer Room is provided as a ministry for all who have needs.

God answers prayer! -- "Let us approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need." -- Heb. 4:16

Christian Support

We also give you the option to receive support e-mails in the area of your prayer request should you desire to receive e-mail support from others who understand the trial you are going through.

The Acts 29 Prayer Team meets weekly for prayer fellowship with breakfast for support and encouragement. Everyone is invited to participate in a weekly Prayer Fellowship on Thursdays at 8:00 a.m. at The Dayton Coffee Shop, 280 2nd Avenue in Dayton.

This will be a special time of Christian support and sharing of the needs of our community.

Believe God for an Answer

We are believing with you, as we seek God in your behalf, in the name of Jesus, that your requests will be answered according to His promises in the Bible.

God answers prayer!  Jesus said, "Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask for when you pray, believe that you receive them, and will have them." Mark 11:24

Praise God! If you have received an answer to a prayer request, please share it with everyone by posting a Praise Report to encourage others in faith!

Why Acts 29?

Our intercessory prayer ministry has been inspired by Dr. Terry Teykl's book  "Acts 29, Fifty Days of Prayer to Invite the Holy Spirit."  We prayed for God's leading concerning a name and focus for a community prayer network, and felt agreement in our hearts that God was leading us this way.

Dr. Terry Teykl writes:

Acts 29
If you read the end of Acts 28, you will notice that it has no formal closing like the other letters in the New Testament..  It does not say, "...to the only wise God be glory forever through Jesus Christ!  Amen." (Rom. 16:27), or "Peace to the brothers..., and grace to all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with an undying love" (Eph. 6:23-24).  Instead the final verse in Acts reads, "Boldly and without hindrance he [Paul] preached the kingdom of God and taught about the Lord Jesus Christ."

I consulted several commentaries which suggested that the ending to Acts had been lost.  But then I consulted God.  He impressed upon my spirit that Acts has no ending because it is not yet finished!  The Holy Spirit is still working in cities today just as He did in Jerusalem, Ephesus, Corinth, and others.  The first 28 chapters are simply testimonies of what can happen when we apply prayer to the Great Commission.  God's desire is that every community in every city across the globe would be writing Acts 29 today.

The Flaming Dove Logo of Acts 29 Prayer Team is a symbol of the Holy Spirit, that unites us in prayer.  This logo is used by permission  of Dr. Terry Teykl.
